PTAHF ACCREDITED 2ND HOSPITAL AND 1ST GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL IMPLEMENTING THE REVISED PTAHF QUALITY STANDARDS AND SURVEY PROCESS GUIDE 1ST EDITION
PTAHF ACCREDITED 2ND HOSPITAL AND 1ST GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL IMPLEMENTING THE REVISED PTAHF QUALITY STANDARDS AND SURVEY PROCESS GUIDE 1ST EDITION
The revised PTAHF Quality Standards and Survey Process Guide 1st Edition were implemented in November 1, 2018. The 3 pilot hospitals were given a copy for them to comply before the tentative re-assessment scheduled. The 3 pilot hospitals and their re-assessment schedule are as follows:\
1.Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) – Private Hospital, Regalado Ave. cor. Dahlia St., West Fairview, Quezon City (December 5-7, 2018)
2.Tondo Medical Center (TMC) - Government Hospital , Honorio Lopez Blvd., Tondo Manila(March 18 - 20, 2019)
3.National Children’s Hospital (NCH) - Government Hospital , 264 E. Rodriguez Sr. Boulevard, Quezon City (April 15-17, 2019)
After we have accredited our 1st Hospital, Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) last January 14, 2019, our other 2 pilot hospitals had their Focused Survey conducted in 2020 after they have submitted their respective Strategic Action Plans (SAPs) after the re-assessment survey held in 2019.
After almost one (1) year and six (6) months (due to the pandemic, the Focused Survey was re-scheduled) after their re-assessment last April 15-17, 2019, National Children’s Hospital (NCH) undergo the 1st Virtual Focused Survey by PTAHF last October 8 - 9, 2020 to re-evaluate their submitted SAPs and compliance in the PTAHF Quality Standards 1st Edition. The PTAHF Survey Team is as follows:
After the Assessor’s deliberation and Scoring Team review of the organization compliance based on the Assessor’s scores and findings, the Final Survey Findings Report and the Accreditation Decision was given to NCH in November 11, 2020.
PTAHF awarded last December 4, 2020 its 2nd Accredited Hospital and 1st Accredited Government Hospital, National Children’s Hospital (NCH), after they have complied to the PTAHF Quality Standards 1st Edition last November 11, 2020.

After the approval of the revised PTAHF Quality Standards and Survey Process Guide 1st Edition by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQUA) last October 4, 2018, PTAHF implemented it to its 3 pilot hospitals as follows:
- 1.Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) – December 5-7, 2018
- 2.Tondo Medical Center (TMC) – March 18 – 20, 2019
- 3.National Children’s Hospital (NCH) – April 15 – 17, 2019
PTAHF awarded its 1st Accredited Hospital, Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF), after they have complied to the PTAHF Quality Standards 1st Edition last January 14, 2019.
The PTAHF Quality Standards and Survey Process Guide 1st Edition was then revised on April 23, 2019 after its implementation to the 3 pilot hospitals. The PTAHF Quality Standards and Survey Process Guide 1st Edition was then published on May 15, 2019.
After the PTAHF Quality Standards and Survey Process Guide have been tested, the PTAHF Management conducted series of briefings to potential applicants and conducted trainings for both PTAHF Assessors and PTAHF Internal Assessors (PIA) Ooze Camp. PTAHF also partner with local government agencies such as Department of Health (DOH), Department of Tourism (DOT) and Department of Trade and Industry – Board of Investments (DTI-BOI) to spread PTAHF accreditation awareness and assist in the government plan for medical tourism.

PTAHF also conducted the Post-Assessment Survey for FEU-NRMF on November 20, 2019.
For 2020, PTAHF is looking for its next Healthcare Organization (HCO) to be accredited among the 2 remaining pilot hospitals and next HCO to be surveyed.
PTAHF plans to do the following in 2020:
- Continue to conduct PTAHF accreditation awareness in partnership with Department of Tourism and Department of Trade and Industry – Board of Investments.
- Continue to conduct PIA Ooze Camp to potential applicants
- Continue to conduct PTAHF Assessor Certification Program
- Partner with Philhealth to be the third party accreditor
- Continue to partner with Philippine Medical Travel and Wellness Tourism Program
